POWERGRID IPO

Do not subscribe to any IPOs and therefore not to PowerGrid IPO either.

Why? Because all IPOs are meant to benefit the company, the merchant bankers of the issue and brokers. Everyone else except the shareholder. So, as a matter of practice just stay away. The same stock will be available cheaper after a while in the market. The government undertakings may leave 10% on the table for the retail investor but it is not worth it.

I need to apologize to you for being away for a while without  so much as a notice.

Sometimes, one does not have any new stock or other ideas to add hence, the silence. Also, we must indulge in creative destruction. We get wedded to our own ideas and think they are perfect. There are more knowledgeable people on financial matters than me and they also write a lot as they are full time into it. Would it not be a better idea to let them write rather than I write on it.

I was actually reading a lot, being lazy and doing some introspection about life. I had a few suggestions from people who know me that I have a lot to tell about life, parenting, travel, psychology, astrology, management, leadership, films, motorsports and politics and I am just restricting myself to finance. So I should shift to some other domain name.

I think you readers are the best bet to take feedback from. Should I write only on stocks, finance and investments on this site or expand it to include other subjects too?

Alternately, should I register another blog name and write on it on all subjects which I know of and affect all of us?

Your feedback would be welcome and I promise you that I would be more regular.

i read all the comments & happy to note that you will not go for another Blog. Fauzi Finance is well established – why to marginalize the Brand value. I am not at all into stocks & have no intentions to hook on it, however, I read all your Blogs with interest & find management, psychology, astrology……….. all in it. You write very well & can never restrict your thoughts to specific field. Let them flow…….

    Dear sir,
Firstly nice to hear from you after so long… I was beginning to wonder if the recent string of scams to hit our country have made you really fed up with the entire ssystem and made you disinterested in investing in stock market anymore… good to realise my fears were unfounded..
As an avid follower of your blog, i would definitely wish to hear ur thoughts in other aspects of life…why to go jn for another dominance , it will just be another burden… double the effort… As a wise man rightly said, what’s in a name ?
And let’s not forget that lifeand learning goes beyond finance… we must extend this great platform to share thoughts on topic much dearer to Aur hearts….
Looking fwd to greater number of posts….

    @ Fauji,
Feel free to give vent to your inner creativity, and pen your thoughts on any topic under the sun. Would love to know your perspective on life, travel, psychology, politics. Expand to other subjects, while retaining the basic essence of a finance blog. You may rename it “FAUJI FINANCE +” or “FAUJI FINANCE PLUS”
    Thanks,
    Kuntal.

No there is no requirement to register another blog name. In the same webpage u can have more links or pull down menus.
Another thing which people may be interested in is action in case an investment fails or company defaults in giving dividends etc.
    thanks

Thanks Vivek for your inputs. I shall probably go with the majority suggestions and create various webpages or headings.
Thanks a lot. Yes, I would write a blog on how to recover your dividends.
